چکیده
Wound infection is a serious threat to patients, in particular those with septic wound infections, which result high mortality rates. Moreover, the treatment of infections antimicrobial-resistant and/or biofilm-forming pathogens can be challenging. Nisin, potent antimicrobial against Gram-positive bacterial pathogens, has been used food industry as preservative for decades. Silver approved by FDA topical antimicrobial. Here, we show that silver-nisin nanoparticles (Ag-nisin NP), an average diameter 60 nm, quickly synthesized assistance simple microwave. Ag-nisin NP act bactericidal antibiotics tested pathogens. In contrast, resistance was observed S. aureus and A. baumannii were treated silver nitrate alone. addition, showed antibiofilm activity aureus, P. aeruginosa, baumannii, K. pneumoniae, E. coli, are occurring infections. Notably, lower cytotoxicity than human cells. This formulation provides alternative safe measurement biofilm-infected control.

Evaluation of Anti biofilm and Antibiotic Potentiation Activities of Silver Nanoparticles Against some Nosocomial Pathogens
Nowadays silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are used as antimicrobial due to its well known physical, chemical, and biological properties. A large collection of bacterial cells adhering to a surface is called bacterial biofilm. Exposure to silver nano particles (AgNPs) may prevent colonization of new bacteria onto the biofilm. In the present work, we have investigated whether the biofilm format...

Objectives:Biofilms are communities of bacteria attached to surfaces through an external polymeric substances matrix. In the meantime, Acinetobacterbaumannii is the predominant species related to nosocomial infections. In the present study, the effect of silver nanoparticles alone and in combination with biocides and imipenem against planktonic and biofilms of A. baumannii was assessed. Materi...
